Magna Sinfonia opened their 10th anniversary season with a concert of celebration.​

The orchestra were delighted to be joined by conductor Enyi Okpara - current Calleva Assistant Conductor of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra - and piano soloist Sam Hanson for this exuberant programme in the beautiful surroundings of St Peter's Church in Parkstone

Magna Sinfonia were delighted to perform this stunning and moving work with Bournemouth Symphony Chorus, alongside Bournemouth Chamber Orchestra and Bournemouth Symphony Youth Chorus, under the baton of Chorus Director Gavin Carr.

Step Inside the Music!
This was no ordinary concert; a unique chance to sit among the musicians and feel the music from the heart of the orchestra. To hear the violins soar, the brass roar, and the percussion rumble—all from the midst of the action. For those who prefer a more traditional experience, standard seating was also available.

• Korngold | Violin Concerto, featuring the extraordinary Rose Gosney, leader of the National Youth Orchestra and BBC Young Musician of the Year 2024 quarter-finalist. Our sensational soloist, is a rising star whose performances have captivated audiences across the UK.

• Shostakovich | Symphony No. 1, a thrilling masterpiece that showcases the orchestra’s full power.
